One day this week Denise and I took care of our granddaughter Emma for the day. She had a fever at night. Her mother Theresa was travelling and her father Doug had to go to work and Emma, being sick, could not go to daycare.
The dynamic grandparent duo (Denise and me) sprang into action. We hosted Ms. Emma for the day.
Emma is five which is old enough for me to begin the implementation of my “Let’s get you versed in the full gamut of experiences that any person should have” plan. I owe it to this generation to impart the wisdom I have garnered over the years.
To start the program, Emma and I watched the classic movie Godzilla versus Kong.

I worried about the choice – would it be too violent? While Kong and Godzilla battled each other and knocked down buildings constantly, there was no gore or upsetting violence.
The movie featured a little girl (Emma’s age) who was the daughter of the good scientist. The daughter was deaf, but she would communicate with Kong through telepathy. Without giving away the plot, the little girl saved the day. As you can imagine, this thrilled Emma. Quite the role model should Emma ever face a battle of monster titans,
Given the success of the Kong-Godzilla movie, I have continued the development of Emma’s learning plan which includes watching some classic Three Stooges shows and taking in a professional wrestling match. I am still trying to figure out the complete list and sequence of the other parts of the plan. However, as the pictures above show, the final plan will be an amazing, uplifting and very educational experience.
I love everything about this!
